This file shows all the fields that are generally used in NOAA metadata descriptions. It includes fields under the 1.2.3 Supplemental Information section that are taken from legacy databases in other formats, such as NEDRES and Data Interchange Format (DIF).

The usage and format for these fields is described in the manual for the Standard, "Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata Workbook (Describes the June 8, 1994 version of the Metadata Standard) Workbook Version 1.0".
